About Rudy Giron: A photographer, instructor and entrepreneur based out of Antigua Guatemala. A light chaser, photography lover, visual story-teller who has been publishing daily photographic stories since May 2006 at AntiguaDailyPhoto.com, Antigua Guatemala’s go-to resource in English for everything about Guatemalan culture and traditions. Rudy does commercial and event photography worldwide by request, and especially loves doing photo shoots the world over.

Rudy and his partner have created this fabulous Day of the Dead Photo Tour pulling together from the experience of both through years of leading photo tours through out Guatemala. 

Itinerary highlights for the 3.25-day Workshop

Day 0: (Oct 31 optional)
Afternoon/night photo walk, approximately 3 hrs,  to capture the spirit of Halloween and Day of the Dead in Antigua Guatemala.

Day 1: (Nov 1)
A photographic exploration of Day of the Dead and the Giant Kites plus the festivities of All Saints Day in the Mayan cemetery of Santiago Sacatepéquez, Santa Maria Cauqué and Sumpango. Also, if time allows it, we will finish the day at the Necropolis of Antigua Guatemala. 

Day 2: (Nov 2)
Photo exploration of the graveyards in Mayan villages of Santa María de Jesús, San Antonio Aguascalientes as well as the villages of San Pedro Las Huertas and Santiago Zamora if time allows it.

Day 3: (Nov 3)
Photo exploration of the largest Mayan market in the world, the Chichicastenango Altars, as well as the villages of Santa Catarina Palopó, San Antonio Palopó, Mirador de Godínez surrounding the majestic Lake Atitlán. Option to finish the photo tour and stay in Lake Atitlán or come back to Antigua Guatemala.

Bring lightweight clothing and comfortable walking shoes because you’ll spend lots of time on your feet.

Cancellations & Refunds
Deposits are non-refundable.  For refunds, we require that a cancellation request in writing be received at least 91 days before the photo tour and workshop begins. If we receive your written cancellation request 91 days before your photography workshop begins, and we can refill your space, we will refund all payments, minus your reservation deposit and any discounts given to refill your space.  If we cannot refill your space, we will refund 50% of all payments, minus your reservation deposit.  No refunds are given, nor cancellations allowed, 90 days or less before your photo tour begins.  No partial refunds are given for unused services.
